Welcome

Dana Overman, MPH, MSN, RN – Artist. Nurse. Visionary.

Dana Overman is a multidisciplinary healer who merges the precision of science with the depth and soul of art. With master’s degrees in both Public Health and Community Development and over three decades of experience as a registered nurse, she brings clinical expertise, lived wisdom, and compassionate insight into every space she creates.

Dana currently serves at the Carle Cancer Institute in Urbana, Illinois, where she works alongside Dr. Claudius Conrad, a distinguished HPB oncology surgeon known for his innovative, whole-person approach to surgical care. Dr. Conrad’s deep commitment to integrating science, compassion, and human connection in the healing process mirrors Dana’s own belief that wellness must be approached from both the clinical and creative realms.

A two-time cancer survivor herself, Dana has faced life-altering diagnoses with courage, clarity, and a profound trust in the body’s innate ability to heal. Her personal journey has shaped her understanding of wellness as something far more expansive than treatment alone — it is about meaning, presence, and creative expression. She sees healing not as a linear path, but as a layered, sensory, and sacred unfolding.

Her paintings and poetry are more than creative expressions — they are vessels of restoration. Each piece is created with intention, inviting the viewer inward: to feel, to release, to remember. Integrated into her wellness offerings are somatic practices, breathwork, and guided reflections that support nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and whole-body vitality.

Dana’s work transcends the boundaries of traditional care by recognizing that healing is not only measurable, but also meaningful, intuitive, and beautifully human. She invites others into a more empowered and embodied relationship with their well-being — where color meets clarity, and where science meets soul.
